Startups I mentor in the European programmes and projects I evaluate for the European Commission, web apps I design and build myself, talks and classrooms, and a newsletter I have written for years. Antonio Di Bacco, innovation consultant, outside client work.
Mentoring, evaluation, teaching and the newsletter keep me inside the questions companies are asking, months before they become a project on my desk. The web apps are my laboratory: I try the tools there before proposing them to a client, with the same method I use inside companies. Understand the problem, design the process, build, measure. They also show that, with AI, people who are not developers by trade can build the tools they need.
Since 2020 I mentor in the acceleration programmes of EIT, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology. Business model, go-to-market, impact measurement: the stretch where a good idea has to become a company. Since 2024 I am listed on the European Commission’s register of experts as a tender evaluator.

Business model and go-to-market for teams bringing mitigation and adaptation solutions to market. Outside Europe too, with the CATAL1.5°T programme in Latin America.

From field to shelf: startups working on production, distribution and consumption, where sustainability has to hold up in the accounts too.

Technologies and business models for industry, at the point where digitalisation and sustainability meet.
Listed on the European Commission’s register of experts since 2024. Reading projects from the perspective of the decision-maker is the other side to the work I do in the company.
I also work inside projects funded by the European Union. With GreenSME I accompanied Leaderform to its first sustainability report: the case is told here.
Designed and developed by me over 2026, with AI alongside, for graphics and branding too. Each one comes from a real need: some from my trade, others from everyday life. All seven run in Italian.
The tools I use every day in my trade, and a course open to everyone.

For years I logged the hours spent on each project in an Excel sheet, while budgets, invoices, payments and deals lived elsewhere, each time in a different place. I wanted to know whether a quote was right, where my time went and what each job really earned. I turned that sheet into Argoboard, a tailor-made app that brings projects, budgets, invoices, payments and the pipeline together, with daily time tracking, on my phone too. It grew one feature at a time, following a plan that set out from the start the questions it had to answer.

Writing steadily on LinkedIn and in Perbacco! takes rhythm, order and good sources, and keeping them together by hand was hard work. Textura is my small newsroom: it plans the week's posts, gathers drafts and ideas, and on every run offers a press review tuned to the topics I follow, with a score that helps me decide what deserves a post and what belongs in the newsletter. The longest job was calibrating sources and themes: that is when the review started to reflect my interests. The writing and the editorial choices stay mine; Textura gives me order and material to think with.

My idea of business and innovation: a daily flow of new ideas into companies, rather than an extraordinary project every now and then.
For the cleantech startups of Stimoulus, operating in Pakistan, and for the teams in acceleration with EIT Climate-KIC.

Published in Italian. I write about how the economy, companies and communication change while the climate changes. One theme at a time, looked at up close, with the occasional detour into AI and technology when something is actually shifting.
It is also where ideas take shape before they reach a company: much of what I bring to clients passed through here first. Listed among the best Italian newsletters by Salvatore Aranzulla.
Read it on Substack, in ItalianA self-produced campaign, in Italian, built on puns that stay behind in translation: each shot pairs a costume with a marketing word that has a second meaning in Italian (launches, resonance, recipes). Concept, photography and release were all mine, to show what a marketing manager does without the usual photo in a suit.
